This is a family recipe for a
concoction called "Buttery Broth". The recipe has been handed down from
my Nanna whose maiden name was Barker, hence the name Barker's Buttery
Broth. It is a tasty dish that I use at
breakfast.
Thickly Butter 3 slices
of bread (I use margarine)
Spread the slices with
vegemite (perhaps a little thicker
than normal)
Place the bread slices
into a cup or bowl.
Pour boiling water over
the bread and moosh it altogether.
Enjoy
This was used when people were sick as a quick and healthy
meal. I have also used it as a hangover cure, though it only works a
little.
That's it, simple and enjoyable.
